Congratulations to Royals F Ben Lalkin who registered his 50th(!!!!) goal of the season on Friday night (Feb 23) against the North York Rangers.

Lalkin, who was away with Team Canada East at the World Junior A Challenge, reaches the 50 goal mark having played in 39 of Markham’s 52 games so far this season.

The Royals forward becomes the quickest player to reach 50 goals in a season since Greg Carey of the Burlington Cougars did it in 2009-10 on his way to 72 that season, according to OJHL volunteer contributor Ron Valentine.
