The Markham Royals play at Markham’s Centennial Community Centre, and are the arena’s primary tenants. Opened in 1972, the facility is located on the corner of McCowan Road and Bullock Drive, just north of Highway 7.
For those who wish to make a full day of their Royals experience, Markham Centennial Arena sits directly across from CF Markville, one of the largest shopping malls in the Greater Toronto Area.

Markham Centennial Arena, expanded from its original 1800-seat layout, seats as many as 2300 fans. Before the Royals called the arena home, the Markham Waxers (OPJHL) spent the better part of four decades as the building’s main team. The Toronto Marlboros of the OHA (now the Guelph Storm of the OHL) also split their time in the 1970s between Centennial and Maple Leaf Gardens.
For those coming to the rink by public transit, Markham Centennial Community Centre has a direct rail stop, with Centennial GO serving the facility on the Stouffville Line between Union and Old Elm stations, allowing for a 45-minute direct trip from the downtown core. It is also served by the 54 Hwy. 407 GO Bus between Highway 407 TTC station and Mount Joy GO, along with service from the 129 McCowan North TTC bus route.
