The Markham Royals announced today that the hockey club has completed two trades.

In their first move, the Royals acquired forward Zachary Mascard from the Wellington Dukes.

Mascard, 18, has played 31 games with the Dukes in 2024/25, scoring ten goals and adding six assists. The Toronto, Ontario native is in his second year of junior hockey, playing 2023/24 with the Pickering Panthers.

The Royals will send back a player development fee in return.

As well, Markham has announced the trade of forward Anoushan Mugunthan to the Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL).

Mungunthan was acquired from the Brockville Braves of the CCHL in September and played in 18 games for the Royals. We wish him all the best in Powassan!
