The Markham Royals announced today that the hockey club has acquired forward Owen Vergusson from the Espanola Paper Kings.
Fergusson, 19, had a breakthrough year in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, finishing with 41 goals and 69 assists in 56 games played, good for second in the league in scoring.
The Bancroft, Ontario native enters his fourth season of junior hockey, previously playing with Powassan (NOJHL) and North Kawartha (PJCHL).
The Royals will be sending the Paper Kings a Player Development Fee in return.
