50-Goal Man Ben Lalkin Returns To Royals

The Markham Royals are extremely excited to welcome back forward Ben Lalkin to the organization, as he re-joins the team ahead of Friday night’s game against the Wellington Dukes.

Lalkin, 19, has played the last two seasons for the Royals, producing 68 goals and 61 assists in just 79 games. Last season, Lalkin scored at a rate that hasn’t been seen in the OJHL in decades, scoring his 50th goal in just his 39th game. Lalkin finished the season with 50 goals and 88 points in 42 games, while producing another eight points in four playoff games.

The Mississauga native was named a second-team OJHL All-Star for his efforts, and played for both Team Canada East in the World Junior A Challenge, along with Team OJHL Oates at the Eastern Canada Cup.

Lalkin spent the early part of this season with the Brampton Steelheads, where he produced an goal and an assist across three preseason games.
